Introducing the Jetour X70L: A New Contender in the SUV Market

The automotive landscape is set to welcome a new player with the upcoming Jetour X70L, a gasoline-powered SUV that is generating buzz ahead of its pre-sale launch on September 10 in China. With its modern design and impressive specifications, the X70L aims to capture the attention of SUV enthusiasts and families alike.

Jetour, a brand known for its innovative approach to vehicles, is expanding its X70 series, which has proven to be a global phenomenon. Currently, the series boasts five models, including the 2025 Jetour X70 Plus Champion Edition and the new generation X70 Plus C-DM. Remarkably, one in every three large 7-seater SUVs sold worldwide is a member of the Jetour X70 family, with total sales exceeding 960,000 units as of August.

Design and Dimensions

The Jetour X70L showcases a striking front end, featuring a large grille embellished with chrome strips. The headlights, designed in an irregular shape, illuminate to form a unique “J” and “T” symbol, further enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The Jetour logo is prominently displayed above the grille, while the rear of the vehicle features vertical taillights linked by a continuous light strip.

In terms of size, the X70L measures 4810 mm in length, 1930 mm in width, and 1705 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. This SUV offers both 5- and 7-seater configurations, making it versatile for various family needs.

Performance and Engine Options

Under the hood, the Jetour X70L provides two engine choices: a 1.5T and a more robust 2.0T engine, both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5T engine delivers a respectable 135 kW (181 hp) with a fuel consumption of 7.41L/100km, while the 2.0T engine steps up the performance to 187 kW (251 hp).

Interior Features

Inside, the X70L promises a high-tech experience with a floating LCD instrument panel and a central control screen measuring 15.6 inches, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The vehicle runs on TOUR OS 3.0, and it includes a built-in AI voice assistant developed using ByteDance’s Doubao AI model.

Additional interior features include 50W wireless fast charging capabilities, a 12-speaker sound system, and numerous storage compartments—43 in total. When the rear seats are folded down, the trunk offers an impressive volume of 1708 liters, making it ideal for family trips or transporting large items.
